Welcome to our EYFS Page!
We are delighted to welcome you to the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) at St. Joseph’s, where our Nursery and Reception children learn, play, and grow together in a fun and supportive environment.
Our class teacher, Mrs Bailey, is supported by Mrs Issak, Miss Lewis, and Mrs Khumalo, and together we aim to make every day an exciting learning adventure.
A few things to help your child settle in:
-
Water bottles: Please send your child with a clearly labelled water bottle every day. Juice is fine at lunchtime, but must be in a separate bottle.
-
Outdoor learning: We love learning outside in all weathers! Please ensure your child has a warm coat in school every day.
-
Reading at home and school: When they are ready, each child will receive a zip wallet containing the sounds they are learning, a reading book, and their reading record. Please make sure this comes to school every day so we can continue to support their reading journey.
-
P.E. day: Our P.E. day is Thursday. Please make sure your child’s P.E. kit is in school and ready to go. We will send these home at the end of each half term.
-
Labelling clothes: With nearly 50 cardigans and jumpers in Foundation Stage, clearly labelled clothing really helps us keep track of everyone’s belongings.
We are so excited to share this year with you and your child. With your support, we aim to make every day full of discovery, fun, and learning.
