As part of our commitment to making it simpler and easier to get involved with the Friends of St Joseph’s each month we’ll be sending out a “Hands Up” a list of all the ways that you can get involved across the month to help ensure that our school is a place we can all be proud of, and a place where our children will make memories that will stay with them for life. You can view the Hands Up on the attachment below.
We’re also still on the look-out for Parent Champions across the school.
What is a Parent Champion? A parent champion is the link between the Friends of St Joseph’s and the classroom. Champions spread the word about upcoming events and projects by chatting to their class teacher and other parents. They will play a simple but vital role at our school.
Why are we recruiting Parent Champions across the school? The PTA (Friends of St Joseph’s) works best when we have voices and support all over the school. Our champions will be key to a great school spirit that will make the every day at St Joseph’s memorable.
What’s the commitment? If you’d like to be a parent champion you’ll be asked to chat to your teacher regularly and join a WhatsApp Group looked after by our Parent Champion Lead. You may be asked for an update from your class, or asked to talk to your teacher about upcoming letters and events. You don’t have to attend any meetings so this won’t take up a lot of your time!
You could be a champion if… • You do the afternoon pick up 2-3 times a week • You can spare five minutes to talk to your teacher • You can’t normally make Friends of St Joseph’s meetings • You don’t mind getting WhatsApp messages
